Zinc Sulphate

Zinc Sulfate is an inorganic compound. It is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Zinc sulfate has different hydrate forms, including zinc sulfate monohydrate (ZnSO4 · H2O) and zinc sulfate heptahydrate (ZnSO4 · 7H2O), the latter also known as alum or zinc sulfate. Zinc sulfate heptahydrate is a colorless orthorhombic prismatic crystal that loses moisture when heated to 200 ° C and decomposes at 770 ° C. This compound has multiple uses, including but not limited to mordants, wood preservatives, bleaching agents in the paper industry, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, electrolysis, electroplating, pesticide production, and zinc salt production.
