Adblue with a common name, AUS 32 (Diesel exhaust fluid) is an aqueous colorless Urea solution. AdBlue is produced from a high purity urea solution. Urea is produced by reacting ammonia and carbon dioxide to form ammonium carbamate which is then dehydrated to Urea. This Urea solution is then diluted with processed demineralized water. A specific quality and high purity of water is used for AdBlue to avoid contamination. It consists of 32.5% Urea and 67.5% deionized water and is an essential component of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.
